Issue loading any new App stores on Casa OS

Hi, I came across the BigBear Casa OS videos, and they have been a big help on learning Casa OS and getting started with hime servers. I realised the app store exists and contains some things I really want to try, but here is the problem.

Whatever store I try, the app store won’t load.
Regardless of which store’s link I use (BigBear or any of the others on Casa’s Awesome Store List), the apps won’t appear. It says it’s uploaded at the top of the screen, but don’t appear, I refresh and come back to the store and still nothing. I’ve followed the BigBear video to the letter but nothing.

All the troubleshooting I can find on reddit, seems to be for version of Casa OS which are 0.4.3 and before. I’m running 0.4.4., so the advice is from the pre git hub zip file era. Appreciate this isn’t just a BigBear issue but the community seems one of the most dedicated places to helping people with Casa OS issues.
Has anyone else seen this issue or come up with a way to fix it?

Thanks for your time and any thoughts.

Glad to have you here!

This is a very weird issue. Can you try to run the CasaOS Healtcheck I made and post any errors?

Hi,

Sure:

When you run this, did you try to add a CasaOS App Store before?

How did you install Docker?

You can try this:

Also, you need to add a store and then check the logs.

You can also run:

journalctl -u casaos-app-management

OR

less /var/log/casaos/app-management.log

to get logs.

I have the same problem and can’t find the solution…

I runned the script casaos-healthcheck and found some errors:
sudo: ufw: command not found

After that, i have some erros os message-bus, service logs and local-storage.service… But all services are up and running.
My casaos is running on nvme orange pi 5

same issues here, unable to update source list, was updating b4 but just recently it will just hang for ever in a loop trying to add the repo of choice.

Based on your explanation, the errors in the casaos-app-management.service logs are likely due to the absence of the Official App Store in your CasaOS setup. Here’s how you can address this issue:

  1. Registering the Official App Store: To register the Official App Store in CasaOS, you can use the command you’ve provided. This command will add the official app store to your CasaOS installation:
casaos-cli app-management register app-store https://github.com/IceWhaleTech/CasaOS-AppStore/archive/refs/heads/main.zip

Running this command should add the official app store, potentially resolving the errors you’re seeing.

  1. Installing and Uninstalling the Edge Store: If you want to install the Edge Store and then uninstall it, you can use the script mentioned. Running this script twice, as per your suggestion, will first install and then uninstall the Edge Store. Here’s how to do it:
bash -c "$(wget -qLO - https://raw.githubusercontent.com/bigbeartechworld/big-bear-scripts/master/casaos-appstore-edge/run.sh)"

Remember to run this command twice. The first execution will install the Edge Store, and the second execution should uninstall it.

You can also reinstall CasaOS; just make sure you backup your volumes and anything important.

After performing these steps, it’s a good idea to check the logs again to see if the errors have been resolved. If problems persist, you might want to further investigate the configuration and ensure that all necessary components of CasaOS are correctly installed and configured.

Do you have a full error log?

After the update to 4.4.6, it’s working!

Awesome! Thanks for the update, and I’m glad it’s working!
