I Need Help Choosing the Best Laptop for Graphic Design

Hello guys! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I am searching to snag a new laptop for graphic design and could use some pointers from this awesome community! I want to work with programs like Photoshop, coral draw, adobe and Illustrator and sometimes even dabble in 3D rendering.

Here is what I’m after:

  • I needs a strong processor and plenty of RAM to handle big files and keep things running smooth when I have a bunch of stuff open at once.
  • Super important to have accurate colors and a crisp resolution for my work. Ideally a 15-inch screen, but open to others if they’re top-notch quality.
  • Solid-state drive for sure! Faster boot times and file access are a must. 512GB would be great, but 1TB would be amazing.
  • While I work from my desk most of the time, I travel sometimes. So, something on the lighter side with decent battery life would be ideal.
  • Willing to invest in a good machine, but aiming to keep it under $2,000 if possible.

I have been checking out Dells, Apples, and ASUSes, but open to other brands too! Any recommendations based on your experiences would be fantastic. I also check this: https://community.bigbeartechworld.com/t/dear-big-bear-i-need-your-help-with-nextcloudsalesforce-developer But I have not found any solution. Could anyone suggest the best solution for this.

Thanks in advance!

Hello glad to have you here in the BigBearCommunity. Here are some suggestions:

MacBook Pro 14-inch (2023) with M3 Chip

This is an excellent choice, offering powerful performance, a stunning 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR display with excellent color accuracy, and up to 18 hours of battery life. It starts at 8GB RAM/512GB SSD. The M3 chip handles demanding tasks like 3D rendering very well.

Dell XPS 15

For Windows options, the Dell XPS 15 is a great pick. It features a 15.6-inch display with 100% Adobe RGB coverage, 11th gen Intel Core i7/i9 processors, dedicated NVIDIA graphics, up to 64GB RAM, and 2TB SSD.

ASUS ProArt StudioBook 16

Another solid choice is the ASUS ProArt StudioBook 16, which comes with a 16-inch 4K OLED display, AMD Ryzen 9 processor, NVIDIA RTX 3070 graphics, and up to 64GB RAM/2TB SSD.

Lenovo Yoga 9i

For a more budget-friendly option, consider the Lenovo Yoga 9i. It has a 14-inch 2.8K OLED touchscreen, Intel Core Ultra processor, integrated graphics, and starts at 16GB RAM/512GB SSD.
