I’ve been experimenting with installing third-party apps through BigBearCasaOS & I’ve noticed that some applications either fail to install / don’t function as expected. Are there specific compatibility requirements that apps must meet to work smoothly within the BigBearCasaOS ecosystem?
For example; I tried installing a few self-hosted services that work fine in standard Docker environments but seem to have permission issues or fail to start when installed via BigBearCasaOS. Are there known limitations or workarounds for these issues? I have checked BigBearCasaOS - Big Bear CommunityMicrosoft Azure Administrator guide for reference but still need advice .
I’d appreciate any insights from the community on troubleshooting these installation problems. Are there recommended best practices for packaging third-party apps to ensure they work properly in BigBearCasaOS?
If CasaOS is working and you’re on Debian or Ubuntu, then it should be compatible. Can you make sure your Docker is installed correctly with:
If this doesn’t solve it, then let me know which apps are not working. Also, if I have done a video on the app, then it’s been tested and works at that period. Now that BigBearCasaOS updates, there could be issues that pop up. That saying, if the app developer for the Docker image is following semver, then BigBearCasaOS does not automatically update major versions without me.
