Hi @Almoni_Bens,
Thanks for the suggestion, but I won’t be able to add Karakeep to the Big Bear CasaOS app store.
While Karakeep has some interesting features, its YouTube video downloading capability violates both YouTube’s Terms of Service and my own Big Bear Tech World YouTube Channel Policy.
Enabling or promoting tools that download YouTube videos can result in serious consequences for content creators, including:
- Channel strikes and potential termination
- Loss of monetization privileges
- Copyright claims and legal issues
- Harm to other creators whose content could be downloaded without permission
As a YouTube creator myself, I need to ensure that any applications I promote respect copyright, creator rights, and platform terms of service. While I understand the appeal of having a comprehensive knowledge management tool, I can’t support features that could harm my channel or other creators’ channels.
I’d encourage exploring alternative bookmark and knowledge management solutions that don’t include video downloading functionality, or using Karakeep with that feature disabled if you choose to self-host it independently.
Thanks for understanding!
