I’m sure I’m missing something silly here but I’m trying to configure the pihole+unbound app with a reverse lookup for a local subdomain - ie take a local IP like 192.168.167.199 and instead be able to hit it with awesome.sauce.lan or something.
I thought it was simple as adding sauce.lan to the domains area with the wildcard set and then adding local LAN references for awesome.sauce.lan with the IP address but that doesn’t seem to be working. There’s something silly I’m missing right? In doing some digging online I see tons of references to ‘go to the Overrides section’ but I don’t see that anywhere in this config.
I’m on CasaOS v0.4.15 with PiHole+Unbound 2025.08.0. All my pihole stuff appears to be working well and when I do a nslookup/dig in Terminal it does look like I’m routing through Unbound as I’d expect.
